  3. This is one of the finest performers I have ever heard live and his album reflects it. Many of his songs are originals, both musically entertaining and with thought provoking lyrics. Ken Saydak is a superb pianist and his voice reminds me of Eric Clapton. Get this album and try to catch this band live at Andy's Jazz Club in Chicago or elsewhere/5(4).
  4. Del-Fi's Moment of Truth: Best of Dave Myers & Surftones is a preferable alternative to this album, as it's a retitled reissue of this Hangin' Twenty LP, with a couple Myers & the Surftones tracks from the compilation album KFWB's Battle of the Surfing Bands! added as bonus cuts.

  7. The excellent opener, “Can You Feel It,” is reminiscent of those classic late ’60s blues rockers, while “Every Day” brings to mind the southern rock of the Allmans, both in its musical delivery and optimistic message, and “Step” is a funky, driving instrumental that reminded me a lot of the James Gang album that my upstairs.
